We’re delighted to welcome national law firm Mills & Reeve as headline sponsor of the 2026 Yorkshire, Humberside and North East Family Business Awards!
With the big night just over a week away, we couldn’t be prouder to have them on board as we come together on Friday 13 November at The Majestic Hotel & Spa, Harrogate, to celebrate the very best family businesses in our region.
Who are Mills & Reeve?
Mills & Reeve is a leading UK law firm with more than 1,400 people across seven offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, London, Manchester, Norwich and Oxford. Their strapline sums them up perfectly: Achieve more. Together.
Their team combines private wealth and business lawyers who work extensively with owner-managed and family-owned businesses across a wide range of sectors. They understand that in a family business, what affects the business also affects the family, and vice versa. That’s why they take a long-term, holistic view, supporting owners at every stage, including:
- Growing, financing or selling the business
- Succession planning and protecting family wealth
- Providing for future generations
- Family investment companies and family business consulting
Their private wealth team as a whole is ranked Band 1 for Private Wealth (outside London) by Chambers, with 15 of their private wealth partners individually ranked Band 1. And in their latest client feedback survey, 91% of nearly 800 clients said they would recommend Mills & Reeve to others.
That makes them a natural partner for our celebration of the region’s family business community. They understand the challenges our finalists face every day, from planning the next generation’s future to protecting what’s been built over decades.
A huge thank you
Our awards simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to Mills & Reeve for helping us shine a spotlight on the family businesses that make our region so special.
